Father's Day

Mothers get their due reward, but underrated are a father's efforts in upbringing of his children; often being said to be a secondary role, with mothers considered as the sole nurturer. But the fact remains, even though underrated, that a father nonetheless plays a crucial role in how a child grows up to be. A child's well being - spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial needs depend entirely on his father. For a daughter, her dad is the first man in her life and she adores him like anything; it's a special bond! While for a son, his dad is the first of his buddies and a role model. Considering all this, a day to honor all the dads and fatherly figures in the world was much needed and thanks to Sonora Smart Dodd, Father's Day came into being just as there had been a Mother's Day.

Celebrated on the third Sunday of the month of June every year (in most of the countries, and on different days on different months), Father's Day provides the children across the world with a perfect opportunity to acknowledge and thank their dads for not only providing a living, but sacrificially gifting them with unconditional love and a protective shield. Not only does this make the dads feel proud of their children, but also makes them feel needed and loved. It helps in strengthening the bond a father shares with his children and vice versa. It's just as quoted by Bartrand Hubbard, "I've had a hard life, but my hardships are nothing against the hardships that my father went through in order to get me to where I started." This Father's Day, let your father know that every hardship he went through in raising you is heartily appreciated.
