Place two sacks of inflated balloons about 30 yards away from the starting line. One of the sacks should contain red balloons and the other blue. On the blow of a whistle, one participant from each team runs to the corresponding sack, takes out a balloon and tries to pop it by sitting on it. Once the balloon bursts, the player runs to the starting line and tags the next player in the group. The team to finish first wins the game.
- Dumb Charades
In order to play this game, two teams are formed. Each team is assigned equal members. Player from either of the team comes and is given a name of the movie by the opposite team; he has to enact that movie without saying a word. If his team member guesses the right movie, then they get one point. Like this the member from the other team comes and does the same.
- Hand in Hand
This is an excellent game to calculate the sense of utility and balance that a kid shares with his daddy. First, a large table is placed in the centre of the room. Now, each child makes a pair with his dad. Depending on the number of pairs, corresponding number of boxes, wrapping papers, tapes and ribbons are placed on the table. The right hand of the dads is tied with left hand of their kids with the piece of rope. Now, with their free hands they must wrap the package, secure it with tape and tie the ribbon around it to form a bow. The pair that finishes first wins the game, along with the gift placed inside the box.
- Blindfold Race
This game requires good communication and team work skills. Before the game, set up an area for race with numerous obstacles to go under, over and around. Hide a small prize for each team in the area. Then, each child can pair up with their father or grandfather and get verbal directions on how to deal the obstacles to find the prize. The winner will be the first pair to find the prize.
- Shaving Race
This game is bit messy, but absolute fun. To play this game, children have to pair up with their fathers or grandfathers. Each team would be given a can of whipped cream and a pop side sticks. Fathers will sit down, while each child has to spray their father's lower face with "shaving cream" and scrape it off with their pop side stick. The winner will be the first child who completely shaves his or her daddy.
The above mentioned games are fun, high-energy and hilarious time outs that can make the day for all the fathers who get together on this day.
